ASLEF Campaign to protect and promote rail freight
ASLEF launched it 'Who Cares?' campaign on 13th July at the House of Commonswhich aims to maximize the amount of freight moved by rail to help the economy, society and the environment.
MPs, Robin Cook, John McDonnell, Alan Simpson and Kelvin Hopkins all spoke in support of the campaign and asked union members and the general public to lobby their MPs. Other MPs including Gwyneth Dunwoodie sent messages of support.
