Further development of Strategic Rail Freight Network for Government's consideration

As part of the rail freight vision, further development of the Strategic Rail Freight Network is needed to service industry, reduce road congestion and freight's carbon emissions.

The industry has agreed key major schemes prioritized the Initial Industry Plan for the period 20014-2019. These key four projects will be considered by Government with funding decisions published in Summer 2012.
